A few more showers this month, are really being kind to our gardens. The flowers are all perking up, and our vegetable garden is starting to show life. It'll be nice to have fresh, home grown tomatoes, corn, carrots.....
Today was so warm, the girls put on their swimsuits, and we plugged in Blues Clues sprinkler head for them to run through. I even pulled out the popsicles! The girls had a lot of fun trying to get mom wet. I even ended up running through myself to cool off, it felt wonderful!

Farmer Dan and Farmer Violet
Violet measuring out the plants
This weekend we worked on our garden. We all trekked out to local gardening store and bought a bunch of vegetable seed packets, and some seedlings already started. We got corn, tomatoes, carrots, peas, beans, lettuce to name a few. Dan did most of the work (well all of the work) in the vegetable garden, while I worked on my "secret garden" by our bedroom window. I'm hoping to have a tranquil, calming area to read meditate and enjoy the various wildlife. We already have a lot of birds in the bushes there, but I'd love to have hummingbird feeders, birdhouses, birdbath for them to enjoy.
While the girls didn't last long in helping in th garden, they had much more fun playing with the water hose, Max the bunny was eager to help out, in digging holes!

I enjoy taking pictures of about everything I see and am always carrying my camera around with me. Well, I had this great idea of taking pictures of mailboxes and creating a new blog about them. Well, of course, it's already been done, so just thought I'd throw them in here. I just love how people personlize them, you can just imagine the type of person that lives there. Here's just a few and some other shots of the beauty we find in our neighborhood.

My girls celebrated their birthdays this weekend. I don't know about you, but when I was a kid, I never got a pony at my birthday parties! Well, thanks to my husband's kind friend, Dennis, he brought over his pony for the kids and their friends to ride. Thanks Dennis for the great time you shared with my kids!
We couldn't have asked for better weather. The days preceding were rainy and damp, as well as the days that were to follow, but the day of the party, it was perfect!
Happy Birthday Girls! We love you!
